“We are in the unique position to influence the church, employers and government agencies to warmly welcome refugee families and put them on the path to a new life.”

Mission

World Relief Seattle seeks to be the hands, feet and face of Jesus Christ to refugees and immigrants, caring for their physical and spiritual needs.

What we do

We help refugees fleeing war, political and religious persecution begin new lives in the Puget Sound area. By collaborating with churches and volunteers, we seek to empower refugees to become productive citizens. Newly arrived families receive tools for self-suffiency:

  • Help with housing
  • Employment placement
  • English Instruction
  • Assistance with Green Card applications
  • Citizenship instruction
  • Ethnic church connections

Half of World Relief staff are former refugees.
